My second post will be dedicated to Judson Claypool, son of William Culbert Claypool, of North Buffalo Twp, Armstrong County, PA.  Born August 29, 1860, Judson followed in the family tradition of farming. He married Minerva Gillam, daughter of John W Gillam (1840-1884) and Emily Claypoole (1840-1924), on January 24, 1889. They were blessed with five daughters and two sons: Josephine (Claypool) Mckelvey-Moorehead (1889-1973), Ivy Tamson (Claypool) Younkins (1891-1971), Bessie Marie (Claypool) Sipes (1893-1955), Wesley Dewey Claypool (1898-1987), Rosie Ellen (Claypool) Bruner (1900-1967), Flevius Logan Claypool (1905-1931), and Clare Lavell (Claypool) (1909-1990) Streightiff-Altman. All of his children stayed within the lines of Armstrong County, with the exception of Dewey Claypool, who moved to Natrona Heights, PA. Judson & Minerva lived their lives out along Cadogan-Slate Lick Road between what is now Livengood Road & Fair's Woodshop. They were active members of Union Baptist Church and four of his daughter's sang in what was known as the "Claypool Quartet". He died of an illness on September 2, 1930 in his home. Minerva lived to be 84 years old. They are both buried together at Union Baptist Church's cemetery.

Post #1- North Buffalo Twp Claypool Family

I recently came across a large box of family photos.. late 1800's/early 1900's. Many of them are not labeled with names, though some are. I'm going to attempt loading all of these on to here, in hopes that readers out there might be able to help me with identifying some of them, or at least point me in the right direction to doing so. They are all more than likely from the William C Claypool (1832-1906) family. He was born & raised in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, PA.. along Cadogan Slate Lick Road. He & his wife, Mary A Boyd (1833-1906), also of the same area, gave birth to 8 children who populated much of the area. They were Clarissa (Claypool) Bowser (1852-?), Malinda "Lynn" (Claypool) Grafton (1855-1936),  Allison "Adge" Claypool (1857-1939), Judson Wayne Claypool (1860-1930), Myra Rosamond (Claypool) Livengood (1865-1942), Aaron Neff Claypool (1867-1960), Anna Adaline (Claypool) Ruffaner (1869-1937), and Lida Alberta (Claypool) Gillam (1873-bef 1906). None of the children left Armstrong County, most of them stayed in North Buffalo Township. As far as I know, they all attended Union Baptist Church, and I'm quite certain on a regular basis! I'll start with some of the pictures I have that WERE labeled.
